The requirements for the 2010 Census were talked about awhile back on Cash Flow. It seems the Constitution only requires the number of people living in the household to be provided.

Well, that's what I told the lady who came to my door yet I just got a call from a supervisor wanting me to answer questions in a phone interview. He said I was the ONLY person in the area who refused to answer all the questions and actually asked me why. I kept repeating to him how I had given the minimum amount of information required by the law.

There is so much confusion surrounding the actual requirements all over the Web and any clarification from physical or non-physical forum members would be much appreciated. Has anyone else bumped up against any of this?

My deal is I simply have a problem with authority. No one puts Baby in a corner or pries Baby for personal information. It feels too invasive. Fines range from $100 - $5K, which I would actually pay, and it's unclear whether jail time would be involved.

Hi MFC, my very first instinct was to "choose the path of least resistance". Render onto Caesar what is Caesar’s but not a penny more, that kind of thinking. Getting in the heat and paying a fine is only more of enforcing the very authority you wish to dispel in your life. I would ask the question if it was my life "why am I engaging this spectacle of silliness, what’s in it for me, why am I resisting their stuff". For me that would be the more important question than why do they want it.
The outward world is a reflection of what’s going on inside. Are there other authority rules being triggered in you from other sources these days? Old parental buttons being pushed, significant other rubbing up against your angel.

Well, to me, the past of least resistance is the exact path the pussies in Germany took when they turned in Jewish people for monetary gains...and I'm not even Jewish so don't have a dog in that fight.

If people can't stand up for a little issue such as this, which may well indeed be unconstitutional, then what are they going to do when bigger issues may be in front of their face?

If someone would show me a law saying I needed to answer the questions, I most certainly would. But from what I understand at the moment the Constitution states only the number of people living in the house needs to be answered.

And, just to put it out to the crowd, if I end up in Jail, would someone please make a fuss to the press...

The Germans I knew took in Jews and harbored them. This was their path of least resistance. They knew what was their right thing to do. The ones who turned in Jews for money were just business men, no cares for human life just opportunists. This was their path to profit. We will post bail MFC, promise. Enjoy the ride.

A cenus lady came by a few weeks ago.. Only ask # of people living in the home. However, she would not include the 2 part time dogs and the full time resident dog. Go figure... and that isn't right or left either.

The following section of the United States Code requires that people fill out their U.S. Census forms and provides a $100 penalty for not answering the Census and up to $500 for giving false information.
13 USC Sec. 221

So far the Census Bureau has offered no indication that it actually intends to charge violators or impose these fines, but if you fail to complete and return your 2010 Census questionnaire, a census-taker will be paying you a visit.

Masteroflightchick - in your case - if you tell them to piss-off - I imagine a hurricane will take out the Census Bureau headquarters and that will save the rest of us some aggravation.

WOW! As usual this perfect forum of my non-physical turns up with the exact occurrences that have come up for me in the last few minutes...daze..

I had no idea what the "laws" were, but when the mailed census came I tore it up. And when the boy came to our door, from a seemingly remote location in my psyche I spouted something close to this..."I appreciate your interest and also your position of innocence in collecting this information, but I have not intention of telling you anything about me just to allow my state or federal government benefit from how many people are living in my household. You can tell you supervisor I was a crazy person and wouldn't answer your questions, because I am the person that believes in alien spacecraft and when you ask where I am from I answer "Earth" and what race I am I answer "human"....

This all just flowed off my tongue like honey....and Gregg I am SO not the defiant, radical, resistant type. I agree what difference would it make it there wasn't some trigger for me....

I guess the trigger was, I am done with speaking a non-truth to pacify someone else. I am true to my core of understanding who I am and not concerned about anyone who doesn't understand that.

simple, loving, and truthful, the way of being I stand under creating my personal reality.

11:11 - thank you for your confidence in my abilities to create a hurricane...and you only know the half of it!

Interesting dream last night - a carload of 6 people arrived in my driveway. I knew they were the crew who keep people in line so went outside to greet them. They took me to a restaurant, offered me a coffee, and provided a cordial setting for my "interrogation" even though they had baseball bats and other torture kinda implements. Their purpose was to keep me in line and use force, if necessary, but planned to be reasonable at first. I wasn't scared and didn't plan to comply nor resist.

Upon waking, I was curious whether this was some sort of Matrix program to keep people in line or simply my subconscious sorting out standing up to the Census person?

Allison - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your response & story. Thanks for sharing! I told someone yesterday I am a smart enough blonde to use the crazy card these days...talk about reptilians, aliens, etc. when being asked simple questions I choose not to answer.
