I have always been fascinated by Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal. The symbolism presented in the film is increasingly synchronistic (i.e. Thoth, cycles, communion with "First Nature"...) in my experience.

Has anyone here seen this?

iON, can Mr. Henson describe what he was doing with the film?

He can't but we will, Mystics vs. Skeksis. Busted 1000 year old crystal licked once to often. Predestiny kicks in the Valley of the Mystics, there lives a Gelfling, Jen. The Skeksis killed his family, destroyed his clan. Only Jen survived, to be raised by the wisest of the Mystics.

But, there is a Prophecy. A thousand years have passed and now once more the world must undergo a time of testing. Now it must be healed, or pass forever into the rule of evil. At this time, Jen is the Chosen One. Today Jen's pipe gives no comfort, for today his master lies dying. And a journey must begin: The Journey of Jen. Jim was all about the Benjamins.

Thanks for the fish!

I love that movie. The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and The Neverending Story were my three favorites when I was growing up back in the 80s. Each story in its own mystical way teaches about accessing your inner power.

Doesn't everyone have a luck dragon? We wouldn't leave "Home" without our "Atrayu".
