Despite the dialectic and purport of scientific disinterest he is not the first to "come back to mother church" in later life having been "relapsed". I do not yet know him or his work enough to comment, other than to say I much enjoyed this posting of yours Bob, but first impressions would be that he was more familiar and predisposed to the reported affects of the repeated "knocking" than he is letting on to. Nevertheless, the more I hear him the more I grow affectionate towards the man and his laser-like mind. My father has first editions of at least one of his works and the others as less monetarily valuable tomes - I will render them to my digestion. Thank you very much indeed.
