Brian, who never said a word the whole party (as usual), finally spoke to me after everyone had left.
We talked for about 5 minutes, then his battery died.
I was all alone... then Sarah came back on after being scolded and chased off by her mother.
So there I was for another half-hour flirting with a 22-year old.
My usual good luck (my bride had gone to bed) making another incredible day.
This is why this was the first birthday party I ever had as an adult (I think I had one when I was 7 or 8) and why it'll probably be a long time before I have another one.
As Sheila pointed out in her YouTube message to me, I'm having too much slack every day to notice holidays, etc.
Hmmm... Carolyn's birthday's coming up... March 20 - the first day of spring, of course.
