Wow, Bob, just what I was iching for! While you are not unique in proclaiming the singularity of Joyce's masterpiece (my Penguin edition alone prints praise from Samuel Beckett, Harold Bloom, and John Bishop), I personally haven't read any "framework" this revelatory on the subject...since about ten thunders ago when I was first feeling around in Nelson Thall's cave..and this distillation jarred my head. Keys are still turning, and walls continue to tumble! Finnegan is fun again!
