Webster defines a Dupe as "one that is easily deceived or cheated : fool"

Since we use language as our tool for creation, I take  offense  to the name Dupe.

Is there perhaps a positive reason why this forum is calling us Dupes or is it all tongue-in-cheek? :|

So we are Divinity Unifying Paradise Eternal of Non-Physical?

How about:

Dudes/Dames United to Party Eternally! of non-physical of course...

Or as my husband Duffy just came up with ..."Delicious Undertakings Planned for Eternity"of Non-Physical!

Dupe, to duplicate, to engage in two conversation simultaniously, hopefully shortening the apparent distance between you and you.
Once I thought I was wrong, but then I realized that I was indeed mistaken.

BOB: It's not tongue-in-cheek. I named the forum "Dupes" to remind us that any concept or image of the non-physical is a limitation, including the word "non-physical".

But I didn't anticipate "iON" showing up to post here.

Since I've been personally getting emails from iON ever since they showed up, I've wondered how to prove it to people that it wasn't JW sending me emails.

Well, what better proof than here!

iON was the third member to register (I hadn't prompted iON to do so) and it happened while JW was in New York City on Thursday. When he came home, he found his computer on and displaying this forum's front page. He later phoned us to ask what the heck "Dupes of Non-Physical" was or meant.

And, by the way, JW hardly ever uses email. So he probably won't register here nor actually post a response... if JW remains the person whom I've known for 4 years.

Isn't that KEWL!!??

P.S. I like iON's interpretation of "dupe". They're always original.

BOB: This will never be the "church of the SubGenius" although iON on the radio sounds like the perfect "J. R . 'Bob' Dobbs".
