JW asked me to post these "favorites" of his on DUPES (he started the MT show well before the usual 6pm, Hawaii Time, launching):

Thanks JW. As I listened, the words to many songs flowed out of my mouth. A fabulous stroll on memory lane.

J.W.'s found some good gospel tunes. I've never listened to them, but
have given them time, owing to J.W. Nice mix.

Got Queen in there too! J.W. can rock. haha

I actually had trouble differentiating the Queen song "Good Company",
sung by Brian May (around the 62 min. mark) from Beatles music, or
early McCartney stuff.

Brian May sounds a lot like McCartney there, and the music has a
decidedly Beatles sound...

iON has mentioned keeping "good company" as mentioned in the scriptures.
I've never read the bible...Maybe glanced at Revelations, but not much
more than that.

It's pretty daunting opening a bible. The book is thick, and the print is
tiny. Have I attempted to read it? Yes, but the churches spoiled the
ending, so I figured, why bother?

I believe iON has mentioned both that it's important to keep good company,
but also that we would naturally gravitate toward similar / like frequencies.

I know this isn't a scriptures thread, but I wanted to add - as J.W. (and iON's)
musical selections are deliberate / purposeful - some passages on good company.

...

Quote:
* If someone wants to teach you anything different than Christ has taught
us, don't invite him in your home, don't encourage him, or you will be taking part
in his wickedness. (2 John10)

* Don't engage with those who are doing evil or testify on their behalf in a
dispute perverting justice. (Exodus 23:2)

* When we follow the ways that good men do, we are keeping on the path of
righteousness. (Proverbs 2:20)

* When we consider the awesomeness of God, it's good to be open about it.
(Ecclesiastes 8:12)

* Don't be spending your time with someone who's angry or hot tempered or
you may become like that yourself. (Proverbs 22:24)

* Don't answer a fool regarding his own foolishness because you may end up
like him. (Proverbs 26:4)

* Don't spend time with those who are foolish or eventually you won't be able
to discern knowledge. (Proverbs 14:7)

* If you are in the company of those who are wise, you will gain wisdom. If
you are in the company of those who are evil, you too will become evil. (Proverbs 13:20)

* Don't do things that wicked do and stay away from them. People who do evil
don't sleep until their evil is done; they live for their wickedness. Those who are
good are the ones who seek to please God. The days are much better for the one
who is good than the one who is evil and will end up stumbling. (Proverbs 4:14)

* If you get rid of someone who mocks, you will also be getting rid of tension,
arguing and fighting (Proverbs 22:10)

* If we stray from common sense we will die. (Proverbs 21:16)

* Don't envy people who are without God or long to associate with them. (Proverbs 24:1)

* Those who lead the righteous people to evil will fall into their own trap. (Proverbs 28:10)

And, of course, Bad Company was a band headed by lead singer Paul Rogers,
who had some good hits in the '70s. I think it's important to discern between the two.

Good company = Associating with those who know God
Bad Company = Had hits like "Ready for Love" and "Shooting Star" in the 70s

Actually, these two passages might inspire some discussion:

"When we consider the awesomeness of God, it's good to be open about it.
(Ecclesiastes 8:12)"

"If we stray from common sense we will die. (Proverbs 21:16)"

Regarding the former passage above, I wonder how this would apply to my
articles, and / or Bob's preaching the iON gospel (i.e., our own Godship)
(something both of us, as well as many iONettes do).

Replace the word "God" in that passage with your own:

When we consider the awesomeness of Bart, it's good to be open about it.
(Ecclesiastes 8:12)

hahaha I'm not sure that sentiment is shared. Still, I'm not sure it's meant
to suggest we all walk around tooting our own horn...I wonder what that
passage means.

Would like to know who was speaking in Ecclesiastes 8:12? I presume
God / ascended man. In any event, it would be nice to know what
"being open about it" means and why it is "good" to do so...

Would like to extend my sincere gratitude to J.W. for engaging, and for his
larger engagement. His allowance is appreciated "more than he knows".

And speaking of the "big engagement", I expect we'll all soon be driving
around with "Just Married" signs hanging off of our cars...

Thank you JW, the bit from Ladykillers was especially entertaining! Not to mention ending with Squidbillies.

Thanks for posting that Bob.
