I would like to hear techniques from others on staying "out of the mind". The mind has
been so well programmed/brainwashed that it can play tricks on you at times.
Who we really are cannot be brainwashed or programmed.
Even those who have been through the most torturous and extreme
programming (cult / satanic torture, MK ULTRA, etc.), including children,
have spontaneously broken free of it.
The mind-control / programming occurs on a superficial level - to our
brain / the computer. We are greater than that.
It's a very limited form of control, and only effective in the most
extreme cases. It also requires constant reinforcement and, at some
point, the willingness of the so-called victim in order to continue.
Anything less than this, the influence of social mores, religious doctrines,
or advertising, etc., is simply a form of influence and only requires our
awareness of these things to mitigate their effectiveness.
The only advice I could give would simply to be self-aware; be aware
of what you're perceiving and (e.g., through meditation) be aware of
your thoughts
about what you're perceiving.
It's important to experience and know that you are not your thoughts;
you are separate from them.
There is no need to be concerned about brainwashing or programming.
The notion of brainwashing has been bandied about a lot, but isn't
of any concern.
