China's coming collapse
The Middle Kingdom's prosperity is an illusion. And when China finally falls, we'll all feel the pain.

What has iON to say about this article?

Not to overstate the obvious, but iON is making a distinction between the
government and the people.

The sky may fall, but it doesn't have to fall on you.

Bob and James have already collapsed the world economy, and we're doing fine.

We can probably expect the same when a government(s) falls; although, we don't
really know what that means.

It seems that a government can't necessarily fall in the sense that it just evaporates,
or closes its doors.

In the past, regimes / governments that fall, for example, in the case of defeat in
war, simply shift hands to the victor.

It seems kind of like having your mortgage transferred. You don't notice anything
different, save that you're now paying someone else.

At the ground level, us common folk will go about our business.

There are / organizations / folks that could pony up the cash to keep our economies
rolling, but who knows if that would ever happen.

There are folks operating behind the scenes, with more authority that our governments,
that no longer have need for currency. This is my sense based on a fair amount of
research.

These are the secret organizations / boards that place figureheads in positions of
authority, but aren't accountable for the missteps of those figures / public authorities.

Of course, if the (so-called) super powers (read: authority / governments, and those who
placed those folks there) see a real threat to their positions - a real and immediate threat
across the board, then there is every reason to believe they could effect something like
Bob's global debt forgiveness.

At the moment, considering iON is right (and he usually is), it's funny to see our
governments as a sort of Radio Shack - http://onion.com/c0WVbq

I wonder what Bob's take would be on the notion that, if the television / Internet ever
turned off, so would government...What is the foundation for government in the everyday
lives of people? That seems to be our only connection with government; and it's tenuous,
at best.

I've heard Bob call the president an "image"; meaning, literally, that. You can't talk to / interact
with him. He just appears, makes statements and vanishes.

So, if that same government collapses, literally closes its doors, then, in practical terms, they've
just lost air time. No one would notice, otherwise, if they closed their doors. Only the people employed
within those institutions.

Of course, there are plenty of people who have placed their power in the government, and
the television or Internet blackout would present those folks with a dire situation...Or perhaps not...

your cracking me up on the Radio Shack article - there was one by my house for years I never went into and often wondered how in the freaking flying foxhouse fever does that store stay in business if their overpriced, no one is ever in there, and they don't sale anything anybody wants- somebody has been cookin their books for awhile now- the CEO cant even make any cents out of it -lol

Hi, Legend and your wholiness! hahaa

I have listened to the Revelations series. And I was in
on many Rewrite calls after the fact.

Did you have a question?

iON's point is those with the highest stakes in this financial
thing (i.e., government, Federal Reserve, etc.) will feel the greatest
sting, while the general populace will only feel, should they
choose to get wrapped up in the drama, a psychological sting.

Things won't change much for the hoi polloi.

Of course, even at within those financial circles, it's still psychological,
but they're more wrapped up in it (in the numbers).

It all depends on what perspective you choose to take.

The money is already gone. And the amount of debt is virtually
inconceivable.

Bob's statement is that the word makes the market now. Those on
Wall Street have been crying the blues; it's making the news; and
those listening are struggling to pay their dues.

Disconnect from that whole scenario and enjoy your patch of the
planet. No worry. We get to eat cake. Better yet, we'll "have our
cake and can eat it, too".

Having said this, iON did say that we should get used to eating
rice.

iON, care to elaborate on your rice comment, or should we make time
tell?

Mick Jagger had it wrong. haha

I enjoy rice though, so no issue (Even if accompanied by a little
topsy-turvy. It's all good. I can pitch, yaw and roll with the
punches.).
