I heard your question on cash flow about how to stop cats from tearing up your flower beds.
1. Give it no attention
2. If you want to do it now and don't want to wait for the no attention thing, just take some moth balls and put them in a plastic sack. Take a hammer and crush the moth balls. Then spread the crushed moth ball through out your flower beds and wa-la. They will stay away from the flower beds. You will have to do this once a year.

Funny funny haha.....Jake would most likely run thru the garden and do more damage than the other animals...
I do like marigolds and planting extra for my wild critters works well for me.
I will also request that they(the wild ones) go eat on the neighbors garden.

What about bears interested in bee hives? A neighbor had a bear tear into their bird feeders (well they should have taken them inside this time of year) but their bee hives are a bit difficult to bring inside! Know of any bear deterants (sp)?
