Let's us see.... Most people wear different masks, a public persona and a private persona, family persona. A lot of work portraying yourself in a different way based on the environment you are engaged in. This is what I hear Bob referring to.
The way I see, a unified persona is easiest to be me. No switching up,no figuring out how to conduct myself is required. I stay true to myself either way. Public/private persona for me is the same Me.
So I am who I am in all environments.
Do you conduct yourself in different ways depending on who you are engaging with? If so, who are you, really?
Your "private self" (soul) becomes private because it depends on wordology - your soul is not created until it cries out the moment you are born in the physical. And there's the rub (tactility - the interplay between your private and public awarenesses). The printing press exaggerates the difference and suppresses awareness of the tactile interplay dynamic (the medium is the massage).
Our "public" selves do conduct themselves differently depending on who we are engaging with but the most important aspect of our public selves is how the way people see us is distorted by changing media conditions.
Privately, we're not affected by technology's new environments. We're KEWL with that fact.
