Bob -

What do you say MM was referring to as "human consciousness" in light of your assessment that iON refuses to acknowledge the word "consciousness" as a thing or process?

consciousness is a separation of your awareness
Consciousness gets divided into sub-conscious, un-conscious, etc
That is why iON uses aware when speaking about the Creator God that is you.
also names The degrees of separation: who, what, where, when, why.

BOB: McLuhan agreed with iON this way when he said: "I have no theory of consciousness." - 1967, at the height of his fame.

Later in a more complex and iON-resonant tetrad, McLuhan hints at the cliche-archetype cycle as mirroring of the mind:

Instant Replay

(a) Instant replay of experience equals the cliche´; amplifies cognitive awareness
(b) Wipes out the merely representational and chronological
(c) Retrieves "meaning" (I. A. Richards)
(d) Flips from individual experience to pattern recognition, the nature of the archetype. GV-MMBP-176

McLuhan's "tetrad":
