Your answer still does not satisfy my question of why you would say that iON has the effect of making people stupid. Please elaborate.

Are you saying that the BRIDGE is simply suspending judgement of others' statements/opinions/beliefs?

BOB: See my last answer above. But I would say not suspending judgment about the other's speech or gestural content but suspending judgment on the spiritual quality of the speaker itself.

Because it doesn't seem that iON is suggesting 'matching' with the beliefs of others in the manner of 'creation by default'.

But the new reason is:

As more and more "information" is brushed against more and more information (no quotation marks intended) because of the hyper-tactile interplay of our 5 Bodies, we never know what startling effects will be resulting, and therefore, we cannot know who will provide antidotes, inspirations, and/or cul-de-sacs concerning these effects.

In other words, one can't anticipate who our next "friends" will be.

Best to adopt James Joyce's strategy symbolized by this slogan in FINNEGANS WAKE:

"Here comes everybody!"... and "I certainly don't have time to read their resumés!"
